Focus is located in rural Southern Ohio and is very close to the Ohio River. Our agency is only a few minutes from downtown Wheelersburg (to the West), Ironton (to the East) Ohio. The closest metro area is about 20 minutes away. We are about 2 hours south of Columbus and 2 & ½ hours from Cincinnati, Ohio.

 

Focus employs 30 full-time employees.

 

We began providing residential services in August of 2014 in one, 12 bed home and we continue to maintain our licensure’s today through the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services.

 

Currently, we offer two twelve-bed, 24-hour monitored, OMHAS licensed, residential houses on the same street as well as operating the OMHAS licensed, outpatient services located about two miles from our residential homes.

 

Recently, we have added two transitional/sober living houses for our clients who are experiencing homelessness or need a stable environment while completing their outpatient treatment. We quickly realized it was important to continue to offer a continuation of stable housing once a client completes the higher, more intensive level of care of residential treatment.

 

We have a total of 48 beds to assist our clients throughout the ASAM levels of care. We provide ASAM Levels of Care 3.5 and below.

 

We consider our agency to be technologically advanced and we adapt to change quickly. We use electronic healthcare records with a billing department that cross references and validates claims daily by a process used to decrease billing errors.

 

We pride ourselves as an ethically sound agency. We do not tolerate employees who do not provide quality services in a professional manner.

 

We perform documented, weekly supervision trainings led by the clinical director. Our trainings ensure employees have full comprehension of their role as a professional counselor. Weekly

 

meetings consist of ethics, code of conduct for counselors, professional evaluation and supervision which provides time and opportunity for self-reflection and growth as an addiction counselor.

Focus is not perfect. We know everyone makes mistakes. We are not afraid to admit our mistakes and do what it takes to fix those mistakes and ensure they do not continue.
